Dog training in Bath: your questions answered

The questions we hear most from Bath dog owners, answered straight. If yours is not here, book a free call and we will talk it through.

When should I start training my puppy?

You can start as soon as your puppy is home. The earlier good habits begin, the easier everything else becomes. We run friendly, science-led puppy training in and around Bath as group classes, one-to-one and online.

Can an older dog still be trained?

Yes. Dogs of any age can learn. We train adolescent and adult dogs from six months and older, across Bath, Trowbridge, Bradford-on-Avon and the surrounding towns.

What is a reactive dog?

A reactive dog is one that barks, lunges or struggles around other dogs, people or triggers, usually out of fear or frustration rather than aggression. We run small, structured Reactive Dog Classes and detailed behaviour work to help make calm, manageable walks possible.

Do you offer one-to-one training or group classes?

Both. There are small-group classes graded Improver, Intermediate, Advanced and Sensitive, one-to-one sessions, and online support. Behaviour cases involving reactivity, fear, biting or anxiety are handled with a written assessment and plan.

What is a residential dog training holiday?

It is a five-day training holiday in the Wiltshire countryside with Adam Daines. You train with your dog in the mornings and explore in the afternoons, staying in award-winning glamping on a half-board basis.

What areas do you cover?

Bath, Trowbridge, Bradford-on-Avon, Corsham, Radstock, Saltford and Midsomer Norton, plus online support further afield and residential holidays in Wiltshire.

What training methods do you use?

Calm, kind and science-led. The focus is on building confident owners and settled dogs through methods grounded in how dogs actually learn, founded by Adam Daines and featured on Channel 4's The Dog Academy.
